Barbara Bates, Global CEO, Hotwire, has taken the role up as the representative on the ICCO Board for the PR Council, the association for the US based PR agencies. She has also joined the ICCO Executive Committee as Americas President, leading on development and engagement of the ICCO membership in North and South America, one of five Regional President positions.
The previous incumbent Aaron Kwittken, Founder, KWT, stepped down from the role at the end of 2019 after serving for over two years ensuring a closer collaboration between ICCO associations in Brazil, Canada, Mexico and the US.
Barbara said “I am very pleased to take this role ensuring US agencies are represented in international collaboration and global PR conversations. I am also excited to foster greater development of the ICCO network across North and South America, it is so important we work together in order to understand eachother and raise ethical standards internationally”.
Nitin Mantri, ICCO President said: “The US is such an important market in global PR and Barbara is the perfect candidate to ensure our we have the best contribution from the American agencies, as well as collaborating with members in Canada and emerging Latin American markets”.
